VISAS & PERMITS

You will require a passport for North or South Cyprus, which you will need to show at all times should you be stopped by the police or military for routine checks, and for banking operations.  The passport must be valid for six additional months after the entry date.

It is possible to stay in both the Republic of Cyprus and Northern Cyprus for up to three months without a visa.  However, if you have a Northern Cyprus stamp in your passport, you may have problems entering the Republic.  It is advisable to ask immigration to stamp a separate piece of paper to your passport.

Foreign residents who are interested in working or studying in Cyprus must obtain a Work Visa or a Student Visa.
