Education in Cyprus

In both Northern and Southern Cyprus education is high on the agenda.  In the North and the South, education systems are administered separately but have similarities.  Compulsory education is offered free to children from the age of five covering six grades.  University life is still relatively in its infancy in Cyprus, and students choose to study abroad in Greece, Turkey, the UK or the USA.
